This collection consists of around 100 minor placenames collected by 6th class students of Scoil Náisiúnta Mhic Dara, An Cheathrú Rua under the guidance of Máire Ní Chualáin and in collaboration with Stiofáin de Bhailís, Pobal Rua.
The students sought information from parents, grandparents and neighbours regarding the lore of local fields, roads, rocks, glens, hills and lakes in a bid to preserve and share these minor placenames.
